Caring for your Jewellery
No matter how high the quality of jewellery, with a little care, the life of the metal plating can be enhanced. The following tips will help you to keep your jewellery looking at its best:
Jewellery should be put on last and taken off first while dressing to avoid contact with chemicals, such as perfume, hair spray, deodorant, household cleaning fluids and etc.
Always store in a cool, dry place and avoid direct sunlight and avoid extreme temperatures.
Store each item separately in order to avoid scratching.
Clean your jewellery with a soft chamois cloth to keep your jewellery lustrous and shining. You can also remove tarnish with jewellery cleaner or by using soap and water.
Make sure to always dry your jewellery after washing as moisture can damage surfaces and cause them to rust. When not wearing jewellery store it in soft cloth pouches, soft cloth wraps or plastic zip lock bags. Chains should lie flat to avoid kinks.
Avoid sleeping in your jewellery, especially fine chains and bracelets.
